Despite sitting 4th, Juventus are second bottom for xG in Serie A

Not helped by the fact that they have drawn three games 0-0 in a row. Why are Juve finding it so hard to score?

Juventus have not conceded a league goal in seven games, including the final game of last season.

​

However, they have also failed to score in their last three games, which last happened in 1992.

​

Dig deeper and the picture does not get any better

​

- 1 shot on target in their last match against Napoli

- They have put 3 past Como, Verona and PSV but

- Two goals against Como were long range screamers

- The third goal, by Weah, was off the bar and needed var to confirm it

- One of the goals against Verona was a penalty

- Yildiz's goal against PSV was a wonderful solo dribble effort

Bottom line, Juventus are SECOND BOTTOM of the Serie A xG table.

Defensively they are sound. Just two shots on target conceded in those three 0-0 games, but their attack play has not clicked at all so far this season.

The question now is whether this will continue or whether we overdue it coming together in one game.

Next up is a trip to Genoa tomorrow, opponents they have not beaten in the last three, including a 0-0 in their most recent meeting (at home).
